Okay, y’all… THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Standing in tiny Mt. Olive, Illinois, right in front of that BIG BLUE BUS, we got to interview Governor JB Pritzker.
We had five questions—about voter energy, staying fired up on the hard days, protecting women’s rights, supporting immigrant families in rural Illinois, and what he wants small-town organizers to know.
And he took the time to answer every single one.It was a thrill for all of us—and honestly, one of those “is this really happening?!” moments we won’t forget.
Governor Pritzker and his staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. They made space for rural voices, rural women, and rural organizers to be part of the conversation.
And that means a lot.
Here’s our conversation with Governor Pritzker. 🩷
